RIP Nona Belomesoff
I think it's easy to brush off a news report about some girl meeting up with strangers then getting murdered. We'll probably laugh and joke about how stupid that girl was etc.
But when it comes to your friend, or someone you know that was murdered, everything is different.
I don't know how many of you are aware of Nona Belomesoff's death within the last few days.
I actually learnt about her missing on friday morning or so, when i received a PM on facebook telling us to pray for our friend's missing cousin. Then when i clicked into the article i realised the last name looked very very familiar, and when the article mentioned her brother "Gary said..." then i was like. oh shit.. this can't be true, because in fact, not only i know the cousin of Nona, I actually know Nona's brother Gary! So I called his bestbud to confirm the situation.. and within 12 hours, the terrible news came through that the police found Nona's body.
I don't know how it feels to lose a close family member by murder... but i heard from the bestbud that the family's still having a very hard time trying to believe what's happened. Let's all support them because as the case goes on, there's still a long time till we'll reach the end of the case.
