I went to the Whirling Dervish show today. Wow. I tried several times to explain it in my Xanga entry, but I just couldn't. Imagine a spiritual concert . . . . . . .I'm still not going to this justice. Suffice to say that my mind was sufficiently blown, that yes, I did get lost in the spirituality, and it seemed like I lost all my troubles. I have grown very interested in Islam as of late, first after reading the Autobiography of Malcolm X, and now this. Islam seems so much more demanding and spiritual than Christianity. It's very hard to get excited about Christianity since it's not very demanding at all, but Islam, with five prayers a day, ablutions . . .crazy. Of course, this is something I must hide from my pastor uncle, my youth group leader cousin, and my conservative family. =). I guess Berkeley liberalism IS changing me. Insh'Allah.
I met Caroline again today, if just for a moment. Even though I've decided to not go after her, man, she is HOT. She had her hair down instead of in a little ponytail like she usualy does . . .wow. I said "Hey Caroline! What's up?" She said "Hey. Just chillin!" She smiled, and then we both waved goodbye. I wish we had more classes together. She seems very friendly and nice. *shrugs*. Too bad.
Big Game week rolls on! ROLL ON YOU BEARS.
Do you know how nasty earplugs get after like thirty uses? Ew. There's like this black stuff on it . . .it's all misshapen . . .ew. Lucky I got new ones.
Acquaintances worry me. Friends bother me. Classes are getting intense. If only I could be lost in the dance of the Whirling Dervish again . . .
Yosub: Ying. You remind me of Thomas.
Thomas: Hey, I'm insulted.
Ying: (attacks Thomas)
