It's So Weird . . .
How a song, or some music, can make you so nostalgic. I listened to Stand By Me by Oasis yesterday (no idea that song was still on my playlist), and I got so emotional. Yeah, me, emotional. Who'da thunk it? It just brought back so many memories all at once, about good times I had, people I had met that I don't talk to anymore, things that could have been (Isabella . . .sigh), and especially about the first time that I had time to MYSELF . . .Yeah. All that packed into one song. I sure am glad my roommate wasn't here to see my reaction. I like tensed up and stared unblinkingly into my computer screen for about five minutes. Yeah. I'm a weird guy.
Hehe, I like reading other people's personal essays for college. Too bad mine sucked so much. Which is why private colleges hated my application. Darn you people in private colleges! You and your artsy essays . . .(I secretly cringe whenever people boast about Cal, saying "Number one PUBLIC university in the nation . . .come on man, do you have to emphasize that?)
And please don't get the wrong idea about that. I love Cal. But why do you HAVE to say "Number one PUBLIC university" all the time? Just say one of the best in the nation. 'Cause we are. Nothing to be ashamed of sharing the limelight.
