he is the sweetest!
things are nice. jay drove home in the middle of the night last night to surprise me. it was quite possibly the sweetest thing ever.
all this week, he's been up in fort wayne working on trying to get a job. plus, he's been hanging out with friends from his youth, as shinabery is in town. it's been good for him to have such a good time, and i'm so glad he got to do it.
we found out that he got a new job. which is super exciting! i don't know lots of the details yet, but it's a step in the right direction.
anyway, all week, they would usually go out or go hang out somewhere, and jay would call me when they got home or when he was going to bed. it'd usually be around 12:30 or 1am. last night i woke up about 12:30, and he hadn't called yet, but i went back to sleep and didn't worry. i woke up again at 1:30 and started to worry a little, so i called. i figured that if he was at the bar, i'd leave a message to tell him i love him.
he answered the phone, and i could tell he was in his car. so i asked where he was, and he said, "i'm about 15 minutes from home." and i said, "what? like, this home, home?" and he said yes.
he said he was hanging out with everyone last night, and he really started to miss me, and missed being home, and all of that good stuff, so he drove home.
it was so wonderful to have him back, to sleep next to him, to cuddle up. i missed him, and i knew i did, but i didn't realize how much i missed him. i really did.
we've got piper this weekend. i'll be leaving tomorrow for my bachelorette party, which is going to be fun. i am going to pick catherine up on the way and we're going to ride up together. i can't wait to see everyone. i don't know who all will be there, but it'll be fun no matter what because catherine, casey, jess, erika, and nan will all be there. everyone after that is icing on the cake.
alright, i suppose i should get going. i'm sure i'll post more later on this weekend.
