Australia has some extraordinarily nasty things latent in its culture. I'm not saying the same thing couldn't happen in NZ, but the way people band around and approve something like this is abhorrent.

"hey boof
hope your okay kid:)
everyone knows that this shit is all exagerated and the media are making it seem so much worse!
just stay happy and be the boofa we all know and love lol
hope your okay kid.. miss seeing you around making us laugh.
love you xo."

Yeah, I bet the media dressed up in costumes to make themselves look like those fucking retards, made the video and then pinned it on them. And well, I bet she was probably asking for it, you know, being slow and all.

I wish I could say it's just a bunch of retarded australian teens, but it seems the whole world is in the same gutter.

We got pinned for FILMING a vicious atrocity! That's fucked! The Fourth Estate is kaput!

How could the media make rape worse, exactly?

"Bro, let's totally rape her on-camera, burn it to DVD and sell copies to everyone else!"

"Bro, the media is telling everyone we raped her!"

This is incredibly depressing, especially when I already spent eight weeks this year working on a play about the gang rape and murder of a 13-year old girl in Newcastle in 1989.

Brand me a bigot if you will, but there's something seriously fucking wrong with the male culture in Australia especially.

Not to get all self-righteous or anything, but I actually just visualised some customer service-type narrowing his eyes and glaring into the monitor.

"Oh, it's on."

Thats really disgusting I didn't see it on the news, and Im glad I didn't. However the people who commented on the three boys who did this are stupid and thats just being kind..

I can't honestly understand how one can be so fucked in the head .. but moreso I can't fathom that people would just stand by and cheer it up.

I don't know what's worse. It doesn't even seem to me like the perpretators are especially fucked in the head. They might be that sociopathic breed of answerable-to-none alpha male, but it seems like a whole climate that was more or less 'cool' about this.

We locked down their Myspace accounts though. Petty, but still...

Thats good, and not petty at all.

Its disgusting behaviour and ten times moreso from those that actually condoned it as such.

Good work. Pat on the back.

Why am I up?
