In Jayne’s Bunk

River looked at the walls of Jayne’s bunk, disapproving of what she saw there. She frowned, “Must take down your girls.”

“You mean ma pictures or ma guns?”

“Both. Not a safe environment for athletic foolin’ around.”

Jayne spluttered. The things she came out with were a constant surprise to him.

“I’ve seen in your head, but I’m not sure that half the things you want are even physically possible.”

“Oh, they’re possible, alright,” he grinned, remembering some of his more athletic past conquests. He knew that River was at least as supple as Naomi and Charlie.

“Don’t think of past loves and whores. Now she is here, you must think of River and River only. She won’t share you with another woman.”

“Yes, ma’am,” he mock saluted her as he packed away his girls.

River glared at one of his girlie pictures, “I won’t share you with Brandie,” she looked up at the gun he was holding, “or Vera, and definitely not with Kaylee.”

Jayne looked shocked, “Kaylee? You’re jealous of Kaylee? I was just helpin’ her with the engine. ‘Sides which she’s with your brother now.”

“But you used to have feelings for her?”

“That’s long ago, and in the past. Now I got feelin’s fer you,” he reached out and grabbed her round the waist, drawing her close.

“You must be gentle,” River told him, taking his girly pictures and hiding them in her pocket, “She is your apprentice in love and sexin’.”

“Not just sexin’ with you. Only makin’ love.” He breathed in the vanilla scent of her hair.

“Jayne,” she gasped as he started kissing her neck.

“River girl, ya so fei-fei, my mei li woman.”

“Jayne, you’re so swai,” she whispered as she ran her hands across his muscles and pulled his t-shirt off.

“Slow down there, River girl.”

“She is not touching you in a pleasurable way?” Her eyes filled with tears.

“It’s real pleasurable, too pleasurable. If ya carry on touchin’ me like that, I’m not sure I’ll be able ta stop.”

“Oh, Jayne,” she sighed, pulling him close, breathing in his scent.

He ran his hands under her loose fitting top, feeling her gasp as his fingers lightly caressed the bare skin of her back and belly.

She began to pull her top off. Jayne shook his head.

“But it’s not fair, he is wearing less clothing than she is.”

“Ya don’t hafta take ya clothes off ta give me pleasure. I’m happy right now, touchin’ ya like this, real slow and gentle like. ‘S’nough.”

“Are you sure, my swai man?”

“I’m sure. Sure sure, River girl.”

Holding his face in her hands, River pressed her lips to his. Jayne responded by pulling her tight against his chest, opening his mouth so his tongue could explore hers. She felt her sigh with pleasure.

Ai ya, he wanted to take off all her clothes, lying her down on the bed, kissing and caressing every inch of her creamy skin.

“If I choose you, Jayne, we will be able to do that every day.”

“Ya reading my mind ‘gain, River girl? Wish I could read yours right now.”

“You can. I’m doing exactly what I want to with you.”

He reached his hand up her back, under her shirt, finding no bra strap to undo. “River?”

“Yes, Jayne?”

“Ya got no bra on?”

“Haven’t got any panties on either.”

Jayne groaned and ran his hands across his face.

“What’s wrong, Jayne?”

“Ya can’t come ta ma bunk an’ tell me ya got no bra or panties on.”

“Why not? Read your mind. It’s what you want. Gives you easy access.”

“Ya gotta leave, now.”

“Why?”

“Gorram it, girl. Iffn ya got no understandin’ why it’s got me so upset, ya got no right ta go around without no underwear on.”

“Tell me, Jayne.”

He stood up and pulled her tight against his body. “Ya feel that?”

River nodded, gulping when she felt his arousal against her.

“That’s what a man’s body does when he knows a hua li woman wants ta have sex with him.”

“But I don’t want to. I just want to fool around a little.”

“Well that’s what the thought of ya without any underwear on does to me.”

“Sorry Jayne,” she whispered, tears rolling down her cheeks.

“Ye weren’t ta know. No one’s taught ya what ya should and shouldn’t do around men.” He wrapped his arms around her and rubbed her back, whispering shhhh to soothe her. “Just don’t do it again, ‘less ya wantin’ all the sexin’ I got ta give ya.”

Jayne held her close until her tears subsided. “Ya ‘Kay now?”

She nodded. He took a cloth and gently wiped away all traces of tears, kissing each inch he wiped clean. “Can’t have Mal thinkin’ I ain’t treatin’ ya right.”

He kissed her lips softly and made sure all her clothing was on straight before he let her climb out of his bunk.

“River, what were you doing in Jayne’s bunk?” Simon asked.

“Just leaving him a surprise. Don’t worry. No impropriety going on.”

Jayne grinned as he thought about their secret tryst and how willingly she had responded to his kisses and caresses. He was going to romance her away from Mal, and into his bed.
