Okay, so I think this is the first episode that really went beyond gross for me...specifically that opening scene. OMG!!!! How did that make it past Teh Censors? Hubby and I were watching on a fifteen minute delay on the DVR because it took longer to get the kiddies in bed than we thought. We actually fast-forwarded thru that scene and we've never done that before. Ugh! Just... *shudders*
Now, on to the highlights of the episode for me:
Hubby got smacked in excitement every time the cupid hugged one of the guys. It was so hilariously awkward. And then Cas trying to comfort him...AWESOME!
I was wondering why Dean didn't feel the effects of Famine when Cas did, but I have to admit, it broke me when Famine told him why. Poor broken Dean! He needs a hug, and not one from a weird naked cupid! I know he's pretty that way, but please don't break Dean anymore...Kripke, do you hear me, the poor boy can't take anymore!
Sam, just woah! Sam was totally trying to control himself...having Dean lock him up and all. He knew he had a problem and he admitted it. But then after he attacked the first demon and then threw the other across the room and told him 'wait your turn'...OMG I had chills. That was amazing writing and acting right there.
I'm glad Sam used his powers to defeat Famine because at least he used the power for good, and the damage had already been done. I just hate that Dean had to watch him do it. If he had the power without drinking the blood, I think it might be a different story altogether. More like Hellboy than Addicted.
That last scene just ripped me up inside. Dean asking for help...If he doesn't get a response for that, nothing is going to work, IMO. How could anyone ignore a plea like that?
And did I hear correctly, are we going to have to wait a whole month for a new episode?! That's insanity! Hubby was even put out. He said 'what's the CW thinking making us wait that long?' Of course, he might have been teasing me a bit too...I can't be sure :P
