I got Woman + Home which had a couple of good interviews w/Jo Wood (must try & get her memoirs at some point) and Richard Arnold. Also got Elle which had pics from their style awards w/little interviews incl Amanda De Cadenet and Pixie Geldof who revealed she's named her band Violet after a Hole song and she was given a dress by Courtney.

Nylon had Romy + Michele's High School Reunion and Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman) in Pulp Fiction as fashion icons. They also mentioned Sephora are doing a makeup collection for Disney - Cinderella (which has already sold out) and Princess Jasmine - I've seen photos of the products they look absolutely gorgeous - the compacts are to die for. Urban Decay are also doing two palettes based on Glinda and Theodora, the Witches of Oz.
I think it's interesting that brands that were once seen as being for kids such as Disney or Barbie or Hello Kitty are doing products that are designed to appeal to adult women and often quite expensive/high quality items. I know, for example, that Disney also did a range of designer wedding dressed based on the various Princesses + a lot of the collectible Barbies are well out of the price range of most kids.

Times had an interview w/Chris Addion plus Bourgeois and Maurice doing their must-sees (I've just ordered their new album). They also had an article on the new wave of feminism which namechecked the likes of Caitlin Moran and the girls behind Vagenda. Camille Paglia did an article on Bowie - I was surprised that she didn't give more kudos to Angie Bowie. I definitely think that Angie helped David become a star and I think if it hadn't have been the early 70s Angie could have been a star in her own right.
They also had photos of Mick Jagger in court with Marianne Faithfull. Caitlin Moran had written an article on the poor being better than the rich & I thought some of it was displaying the same generalisations she was complaining about. For instance, she claimed that all poor people shopped in charity shops whereas rich ppl didn't give a shit about charity & hoarded all their money and that poor people were intrinsically nicer and more moral people. I think you get some poor people who are 'nice' (for want of a better word) and some who are complete arseholes, the same as any group of people. I don't think you can really talk about poor people as being a single homogenous group with the same beliefs/lifestyles.
