US Elle had an article on radical chic as fashion which namechecked PussyRiot and Kathleen Hanna and riot grrrl as well as pics of Joan Jett and Patti Smith and Poly Styrene. It made the point that we move on and that youthful revolution is so potent and memorable precisely because it only exists for a certain time (I see that point but I also see the other side of it as well - that things are necessarily just a 'phase' that we grow out of) - From the article - You can't recapture that and it's another generation's turn for all that.
Also Rasputina's Mailing list says they are playing Whitby this October! They have only ever played the UK a couple of times in their entire career - I'm not as much of a fan as I used to be or I could be tempted!
I am enjoying Dancing on the Edge more than I thought I would but it is still quite slow moving.
Also saw that Angie Bowie has released her book on bisexuality so I really must try & get that at some point - I did really like her memoirs.
