Saw the last episode of Fresh meat - I've really enjoyed this series, possibly even more than the 1st series. I hope they do another series. And I really wish they'd write it so JP comes out as gay/bi & gets together w/his friend Giles (who we saw in episode 1) or failing that, if I could at least find some slash fic with that pairing I'd be happy *g* And Vod is a legend with the coolest style.
Just been watching my DVD of God On Trial. I still say it was one of the best TV dramas of recent years. It's based on a event that's alleged to have happened in Auchwitz where some of the Jews put God on trial for breaking his covenant with the Jewish people. It's brilliantly acted/written and raises important questions about things like religion and free will and fate & even though you can probably predict the ending it doesn't make it any more heartbreaking.
Rupert Graves is in it as one of the main characters who is acting as one of the judges in the trial. At one point he says to someone something like, Do you know what a God is who is not personal? It's just weather.
It's a shame the BBC haven't repeated it & it's only released as a US DVD but if you ever get the chance, it is well worth watching.
