Saw the Bowie documentary last night, it was mainly about Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders from Mars (& Woody from the band is now the spitting image of Jim Bowen from Bullseye & even sounds like him!). David & Angie Bowie were just shown as archive clips but they did have interviews with the likes of Leee Black Childers, Cherry Vanilla, and a brief quote from Cherie Currie (The Runaways) plus Marc Almond, Holly Johnson, & Gary Kemp giving a perspective on what it was like to be a Bowie fan at the time.
David Bowie is one of those artists like the Rolling Stones that I often forget to list as one of my favourite artists because it just seems so obvious that everyone would like his stuff (or at least some of it) and like the Stones, he has been such a huge influence on a lot of other artists I love.
I've got Angie Bowie's book about her time with David, Backstage Passes and it's very entertaining.

Also read a review of the Frankenstein documentary that Channel 4 made. Apparently it's more about the book itself/myth of Frankenstein as opposed to the making of the NT production. If you see the short film they show before Frankenstein then that's all the behind the scenes footage you get of Benedict Cumberbatch/Jonny Lee Miller tho' apparently they do show several scenes from the show itself. And they've said they don't want to bring the NT production out on DVD as they feel watching a DVD at home is different to seeing it at a cinema which is closer to the original theatrical experience. Also they're in the early stages of trying to take Frankenstein to Broadway.
Oh & apparently John Waters is in the documentary so I'd still like to see it & also in general I'm interested in how the book has been interpreted over the years. Tho' I can never shake the image of Gene Wilder in Young Frankenstein.
