Got latest issue of Uncut which had a big feature on David Bowie/Ziggy Stardust and reviews of The Devils/Sherlock S2 on DVD plus new book on history of NME. God, I used to love the music papers (NME/Melody Maker) back in the early 90s - I d3finitely preferred it when they did longer features on bands. And maybe I just liked the bands from back then better than most of the stuff around at the moment. I don't really read the NME anymore & haven't done for years but then I guess I'm not really the target market anyway. I wonder how much longer it will last with all the competition from the internet. I would argue that music press is better moving away from breaking the latest news as it can never hope to keep up with the internet and aiming towards doing more in-depth features/interviews (regardless of whether that's new bands or 'heritage' acts) which is more suited to the printed medium.

Also new issue of Cosmopolitan is giving away choice of 4 free Clinique products - mascara/lipgloss/facial scrub/moisturiser.
