Here are just some of the photos I have of Sabel Starr - she was a groupie in early 70s Los Angeles, one of a crowd of teenage girls who hung around Rodney's English Disco. She was with the likes of Iggy Pop, David Bowie, Johnny Thunders etc.

OK top photo is Sabel with New York Dolls (their guitarist Johnny Thunders was her boyfriend from the age of about 15/16).

Next photo is Sabel and Nancy Spungen. Apparently a lot of Nancy's groupie stories were really Sabel's and people thought Nancy modelled herself a lot on Sabel.

The next 3 photos are of Sabel w/her friend Lori (I don't know if it's spelt Mattix or Maddox - she also went by the nickname Lori Lightning). She was another famous LA groupie, notable for being with Jimmy Page when she was only 14.

Then we have a photo of Sabel w/Johnny Thunders and Iggy Pop - both exs of hers. Iggy said he used to date her when she was 13/14. He also dated her sister Corel.

Then we have a couple of photos of Sabel w/Johnny and one of her w/Iggy - I'm guessing the Johnny ones she'd have been 16 - 18. I know she said she gave up being a groupie when she was still only about 19 and went back to LA after Johnny treated her so badly/beat her up.

Then another one of her & Iggy.

A couple of her on her own and in the middle is one of her with Debbie Harry (they were friends).

Sadly Sabel passed away a few years ago.
