I've got the Bourgeois and Maurice album, Musical Couture and it's amazing, truly stunning. It's a bit like Kiki & Herb or some of Dresden Dolls stuff but it's still something unique and beautifully twisted. (Now I might have got this next bit wrong and if so I apologise). Maurice Maurice is the female keyboard player who mainly does backing vocals but when she does sing more, she has a soulful mournful voice that I love. Georgeois Bourgeois (I think that's how you spell it) is the main singer, very dramatic, sarcastic, cabaret/torch singer. They have great songs, despite being a cult act, their songs are so catchy that you can't stop singing them which is a naughty thing given some of the lyrics which are also insanely brilliant. I tend to prefer their more emotional/darker songs on the album rather than the more feelgood numbers. I love all the songs on the album but the ones I REALLY love would be Cyber Lament, Little Pins, Ritalin, Addicted, and Dull People. I will try and remember and post some of their lyrics sometime and a link to their live performances (which totally add another dimension to the music given Bourgeois's expressions).
