This could be a full time job......

And i wouldn't mind a bit,

So this weekend (if you call 24hours a weekend) was filled with  waking up early friday morning and heading off the WDR to take down the last production i was on. Which i did as fast as i could as i had to be in Waregem Belgium later that day. As time ticked and the crew went slower and slower i watch my window of opportunity slowly closing, Finally i was done and got ready to head off to the train station and start the trek to the land of waffles and croquettes. facing a 20 minute walk to the strassen bahn  station and then another 20 minutes to the Cologne main station i was cuttting REALLY close to catch the train  thqt would  put me in  Waregem at 9:30pm. Then the stars must have allinged or some other cosmic force telling e im making the right call as Friend and Co worker Celia pops up, She lives in Aachen which is the direction i need to be going, I ask for a ride to the Bahn  platz she knows im going to Belgium and  says why not i take you to aachen and catch your ytrain there with time to spare RAWK!!!!! ( this is the same girl that got me to the gig on time when FTB played Aachen a few weeks back, little angel this one is)

So get my ticket grab a bit to eat and some water for the trip, call the boys and inform them im in transit and ETA is a little before Showtime , not my favorite thing to do arriving like this but hey im there right?

A bit of the skillz that payz the billz

While waiting for the train in Brussels or Bruxelles as the locals say it

ok so where were we.....

Ahh yes, so after 3 trains i arrive in Waregem only to find they dont have Taxis in this place. I had met up with  one of the Djs for the club we are playing and so followed him by foot to the club. 20 minutes later and thank fuck the first band went on late i arrive, still not really in  rock mode but there and scurry about getting all the info i need and get things sorted, Not by best work behind the Pult tonight but wasnt bad i guess. Sux i have to wait til August for the next gig but nice as i can  put some more stuff together to make it more of a show =0)

After gig adventures were tame compared to previous adventures but honestly i didnt mind, wasnt really in the sporty mood this night so back to the  ummm Hotel? commune what ever  it was was nice kinda place for hang out ,chat par roof top  and  yadda yadda. Me Frank and Mr Rey from the 45s are the last 3 playing a alternate form of 21 and then beddy by time.

next morn we deside to check out early and head to the coast for  neked ocean swin (some of us anyway) and shoe shopping in the neitherland. Im buying  a nav system cause im tired of Fez's atlas when the map says go straight but the road only give you an option of right and left.  So after some lovely countryside vistas we arrive at our destination sort of, a stop for gas and exact directions spaw creativity galore, witnessed here ......

Giving a little preview

So after art time at the petrol station we are off to sun ,sand, surf and shoes on the Dutch coast which i have to admit id seen but never set foot in, so something new for me.

Yes its that massive but no sun and no surf and lots of clams

Frank and Fez as they Frolic flirtatiously in the frothing surf
"our next gig is gonna be over there somewhere"

The nice thing about all this was the show shops were right across the street so as we all had out fix of the lovely  beach we all headed over  for some lovely saturday shoe madness and a bit to eat

"Pictures of shoe shopping have been removed by the management "

So came the time to square up with the  Dutch waitress who's never heard of the words "customer service" and we point the Van in the direction of my little part of Deutschland.. As Holland radio is nothing but techno we deploy the alternative  sound system which provides  IPOD tunes and then comedy TV audio for the remainder of the journey to Cologne.

Dont laugh it dont sound half bad.

And Finally HOME, funny we all like it when we come back as at least we can read all the road signs

Good Goth, Good Night
