Well, as most of you know, I have a new job. For those of you that don't I am the new District Service Manager for UniFirst, a workplace uniform rental and laundry company. It's a rather large multinational, with more than 170 locations in North America. Anyways, I am 2 1/2 weeks into my 3 months of training - that's right, 3 months of training. For the most part, I am riding in the delivery trucks, dropping off clean and picking up dirty laundry. And let me tell you, it can be the one of the dirtiest jobs...Anyways, I will progressively move into the office (I have my own office!) and deal more with customers and the 13 route salesmen that I am responsible for. And for the first time, I feel like I fit in at the workplace.
What is truly amazing to me is seeing how the Lord hand-picked this job for me. I can see how this job will both challenge me to grow strong in my weak areas and further my career at the same time. In addition, from a financial perspective, things would have been very tight if I was still working at my old job. So, in all these things I praise the Lord.
