i don't know how my sister did it for all those years. we sat in on her last mri after her surgery but i had forgotten how loud those things are. when you're head is throbbing and the world is spinning, the last thing a person really needs is an mri. it was really quite awful. i didn't mind the holding still part as much as the loud noises that made my head want to explode. very shaky afterwards; the nice maintenance man helped me up the stairs and to my car. he told me he'd pray for me. i guess i must have really looked that rough...I'm home now, just want rest, want the doctor to call me back and just say that its just a bruise and its taking its precious sweet time healing and that nothing else is wrong. my ct results mention a small cortical contusion...so i googled it, apparently, we have boney protuberances on our skull. i'm thinking evolution really dropped the ball on that one.
