So, I've been in the townhome for a full week now, and it's a really nice place. Still no sit-down, full-time, rent paying job yet, but it appears that I might have two freelance online writing jobs to keep me busy in the meantime. Even together, they will never provide rent money, though hopefully it will be nice supplementary income while I'm looking. Also, one of them is a game journalism site. More info when it's a definite.
Stephanie and I have been amusing ourselves primarily with Arkham Horror. It's just so much fun, even though we've only won one game so far. The same card keeps popping the terror level to max, overrunning the town with monsters, and releasing the ancient one when we're not ready for it.
I've been torturing myself with the Mother 3 soundtrack today. Why, Nintendo, oh why must you deny us your delicious, quirky RPGs? The music is quite good for a GBA game (and including in-game remix tracks, well over three hours long without looping--my goodness!). My favorites so far are definitely the ones they teased us with in trailers, including the one from the OLD demo, back when it was a Nintendo 64 game. And then there are the tracks with obvious throwbacks to Earthbound.
