Evening nap's dream (these tend to be good!):
I dreamt that I was on a road trip with my parents. Perhaps we were on a running away from something, but Mom was a magician, and her arm had been severed for some reason (!). So we pulled into a convinience store that had a hotel, and she went into a room to put her arm back together. Meanwhile, Dad and I stayed in the lobby. I, for some reason, was in a wheelchair--one of my legs was weak.
There were two store clerks, who appeared to be a father-son duo. The father was big, bulky, gruff, and almost seemed kind of mobster-like. The son was bouncy, pushy, and cocksure. For some reason, I decided I wanted 3/4s of a roll of lifesavers, included it in the supplies we were buying, and insisted that they split the roll for me. The boy teased me about it, and I became annoyed with him, so I started teasing back. Soon enough, he attacked me, so I abandoned the wheelchair and started playing cat and mouse around the store shelves with him, hobbling around. The store was pretty big, even having a few racks of clothes, even though those two seemed to be the only employees and we were the only customers. When the kid pulled a small, dull knife and started throwing them around, my dad got involved and was helping me corner him. Meanwhile, both he and the father were repeatedly warning the two of us not to make him (the father) angry.
The father finally did get angry, hopped over the counter, and tackled me, stabbing me repeatedly. I'd managed to avoid all the kid's knives, but the father had a bigger, real one. Oddly enough, the cuts didn't hurt much, even the deep ones, (adrenalin, I guess?) and I managed to get the knife out of his hands and stabbed him a few times. This calmed him down somewhat, and he grabbed his kid, bandaged himself up behind the counter, and finished bagging our purchases. I went back to the wheelchair, and about that time Mom came out--arm reattached and working fine--and healed my cuts while we told her the story.
Then we left the store, deciding to spend the night somewhere else, and I woke up.
