...that's how many minutes it took me to walk the Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure against breast cancer yesterday, and I'm pretty damn proud of myself! I usually walk about a 20min mile, but I did the 5k (3.1 miles) in 50 mins with an ending "jog" for the last quarter mile or so...who'd of ever thunk it?! I raised over $300, and it was SUCH a moving and memorable event... I can't wait to do it again next year! Your individual thank-yous are on the way..but wanted to say it here too--THANKS to all who supported me!
In other news....uhm, just being busy, busy! Done waaay too much shopping as of late--but who can resist a 50-75% off sale at Bath n' Body works, or a "BOGO" sale at Payless--right? You'd think in all the shopping I've been doing I'd find something for Dad for Fathers day, but other than a semi-sappy (which is unusual for me) card, I'm kinda stumped. I wish I could buy him patience, cuz next week I think he'll need it. It'll be a family event of building a new deck on the back of their house, and in the meantime gutting the bathroom and re-doing that too...I KNOW my brother will try his patience more than once....pray for us all, please.
Poor Jimmy 'hurt his balls'...C'mere honey, I'll rub 'em for ya. Uh, yeah...I said that out loud.
