Future

I've been thinking a lot lately about what I'm going to do when I graduate. I want to go to graduate school and study animal behavior. But I also want to joing the peace corps. I know it's entirely possible to do both, and it's a matter of figuring out what to do first. But it's a tough thing to decide. Here's my pros and cons:

Pros to doing Peace corps first:
1. A break from school
2. Adventure/seeing a new culture and new part of the world
3. An entire years worth of volunteer work, maybe will help to get into grad school
4. Loans can be deffered

Cons to doing Peace corps first:
1. Maybe some of the knowledge I worked hard to attain in college will be forgotten
2. I will have to leave my cats with someone else for a year, they will only be 2 years old, and I am afraid that they will forget about me or get used to living with someone else. This is actually my biggest concern...I love them so much.
3. I don't know if my teachers will be able to remember me well enough to write good reccomondations at that point
4. Maybe I would change my mind about doing the peace corps after I got my PHD, and want to start doing post doc stuff.

Ugh. What do you think? I have to start making a decision soon because If I am going to graduate school, I have to start figuring out where, and take GREs, etc. It's a huge process. So is the peace corp application.
