We got back last night from our quick 2 day visit to New Jersey. It rained nearly all day Monday and we hit traffic, putting us behind schedule. We got in too late in the evening to have dinner with my IPs. I did indeed come down with a cold so we stayed in a hotel. When we first arrived we were told there was a fire there at the hotel and we had to be moved to another hotel! The kids were disappointed we couldn't swim at the alternate hotel, they were pretty restless after being cooped up in the car all day.
Yesterday morning we met my IPs at the clinic. Hubby had his blood drawn then kept the kids entertained outside while I had all my testing done. IM and I took an injectibles instruction class. This being my second journey and third cycle, I'm sure I'll be a pro again at the shots in no time. My bladder was full by 10am, but I didn't have the hysteroscopy til 11:30am (can we say agony!!!) Everything looks great yay! After 11 vials of blood drawn and a urine sample, we were all set to go. We said our goodbye-for-now to my IPs and grabbed lunch.
We stopped by my agency's office on our way out of town so hubby could meet my agent. It was great to see her again.
We made it safely home by bedtime. I can't wait to go back in 6 weeks for the transfer!!!! I see my own midwife next week on the 23rd, and next local monitoring appointment is the 24th, then meds start!
Me & my IM, both of us rocking short hair for journey #2
