Since Guiliani is pro-choice, the Robertson endorsement doesn't make any sense. That is supposed to be THE issue of the Christian right. Robertson has exposed his motives as pure politics. Good.
Robertson has exposed his motives as pure politics.
Actually, Robertson himself expressed his motives here:
Robertson suggested yesterday that other issues -- such as fighting terrorism, cutting taxes or reducing crime -- trump social issues.
"Rudy Giuliani took a city that was in decline and considered ungovernable and reduced its violent crime, revitalized its core, dramatically lowered its taxes, cut through a welter of bureaucratic regulations and did so in the spirit of bipartisanship, which is so urgently needed in Washington today," Robertson said.
Maybe the issue is quite as clear cut as it might appear on the surface. (NOTE: I don't support either Giuliani or Robertson)
I'm heading for the search engines to try to locate any stories of coders who DID "turn" serial killer. I mean, c'mon, there's almost gotta be SOME overlap, right?
The NY pictures are amazing. Looks like you guys had a wonderful time - I'm jealous, I wanted so to go to New York. (I grew up in Miami, which is often thought of as the Southern burrough of NY.)

I'm not a big fan of abstinence only education (because too many parents don't take the idea of sexual education seriously enough), but let me just add a couple things to Jay's link:
1) The report was based on a study done on some research.
2) The study on which the report was based had directives. That is, it was burdened with an agenda from the outset.
3) The study was done by Douglas Kirby, who works for ETR Associates, and who publishes several sexual education curricula.
Here's the AP article pointing out what I pointed out above, and what is (curiously) missing from Jay's link.
Sorry-- any time I see the word "study" or "research" or "statistics," my knee-jerk reaction is to say, "Methods, please."

Can't please all the people all the time - if that type of story pushes his buttons, that's his fault for where his buttons are installed.
I scored 8/10 - very scary as it was pure WAGing on my part.
