A lot has happened since my last post. We had our surprise couple shower thrown for us this past weekend. It was great to see everyone. Thank you so much for the gifts but more importantly, thanks for being there. Naaahh...thanks for the gifts. Heh. Just kidding. A few things were fishy on that Saturday which made us believe that our shower was going to happen.
Give away #1:
So we had a baptism party to go to for Jenni's Tito Vic's daughter. We were running really late as the party was supposed to be at 1pm and it was about 1:45 already. Jenni and I were still getting ready as Austin comes back from somewhere and says "I have to stop by Hector's first but I'll see you guys there." Then Jenni's parents leave and we assume they're on their way to the party as well. So we finally leave and get there only to find that we somehow beat both Austin and Jenni's parents there. We call them and Austin says he's still at Hector's and Jenni's parents are at Shoprite. Shoprite??? Uhmm..okay. So we dive into the food there.

While eating away, about an hour as passed and Jenni's parents are still nowhere to be found. What the heck?

Where are Tim and Ken? Its their half sister's baptism party, where the heck are they???!! So we call them both...no answer.....what's going on around here???

Later on that day in the afternoon, we were supposed to have a picnic with a few friends, namely Ging, Mark, Jude, Weet-Weet, Lynn, and Januel. Ging says they'll meet at Jenni's at 3pm instead of 2:30. Later, she texts Jenni from Mark's phone saying her phone is dead. Weird.
Give away #5:
At the party, Jenni's lola (grandmother) was there. And she says to Jenni, oh Tim and Ken are at Bianca's party. Bianca's party??? And we weren't invited??? That's messed up!! I think this one pretty much gave it away.
So we get to Jenni's, and Jenni anctipating the shower is going to happen changes clothes. So Mark and Ging drive us to Rutgers Gardens where the picnic was supposed to be only to find that bam...so many of our family and friends sitting at tables. Surprise!!!! What a great day! Loads of gifts, tons of food, and a hawaiian luaua theme to go with it. Thanks so much Cal, Ging, Bianx, Charlie, Austin, Jen, Marlo, Patty, Che, Tom, and Ashley. You guys are great!!
On a bad note, I had injured my right pinky finger playing ball the Thursday before the shower. I was diagnosed with a mallet finger. Google and read up if you like. So now I have to wear this splint on my pinky for possibly 8 weeks!! ACK!! There go the wedding pictures. I told the hand specialist guy about the wedding and he says we'll see if we can take it off before the wedding. I really hope so.
