Left the house to start my Christmas "shopping" at 10:45 a.m.
Got back at 11:30 a.m. Hooray for giftcards
And instead of needlessly killing trees for wrapping paper, I grabbed some old newspapers. (not that we really NEED to subscribe to newspapers, but we already had the old papers around).
Tried to match up the paper I used to the person the gift is for. My dad has a parttime job in the newspaper sports dept, so of course I used the sports page for his. My mom picked up a seasonal parttime job at Kohls to fund her shopping addiction, so I used the Kohls ad for her. My brother works at HyVee (grocery store), so I used the HyVee ad for his. My youngest sis had spent the last few years in Germany, so I used the World/International news page for hers. Couldn't really think of any good matches for my other sister or her husband or their kids, so I just grabbed colorful sections.
