day 32

Mar 25, 2004 23:30

hello hello. greetings and hello again.

this week passed by really slow but really fast. my life is full of contradictions. go ahead, point them out. you know what they are. if you don't, then that's another contradiciton because you should know everything about me. i don't think that made any sense.

today was the same as usual. work and etc stuff. the projects are getting busier, i'm getting more use to the ppl, everyone is great, all great friends that i'm getting to know better and better. special thanks to those buyers that are helping me grow and become a better worker. each one teaches me a lot. power train, vpo guys, sta guys even you are all great. even the taiwan guy is great (jason). i love CSO. ford corporate is dumb.

i'm going on a company trip to 'hai nan' for a couple of days. it's an island and supposed to be nice. i'm looking forward to some time to realx and just not have to wear a tie.

we're moving soon. the house is cool. i will take pics later.

mom is coming home soon.

i hope jessica is doing ok. i never get to talk to her or anything...i dunno. what's up with that? too busy i guess.

today was good. as i was going home, suprisingly jamie called me and we met up with my dad and all went out to go eat at 'ding tai fong' which is a good expierience to have. too expensive tho. then we went to the new/old bellagio's (there are 2) and that was nice. all the waitresses there have short hair. apparently it's required by the manager. i remebered how to say 'bu xing'. it's 'boo less se' haha. and hurry up is 'kuai di' kinda like 'fai di' in cantonese. haha

anyways, it's good to be with my family. granted i miss some stuff from home and always will, mostly just ppl, nothing else, but hey ppl are important.

i could see myself staying here for a couple of years. i dunno tho. i was originally supposed to go to FTTA right after this internship but hey...we'll see.

being out here in china with the time difference and all is really hard to communicate with you all out back in the states. it gets lonley at times so please, drop me a line once in awhile. just to check if i'm alive you know? i'd also like to know how YOU are doing so do me a favor and quit being shy or hating me...i'm not sure which.

to say that i haven't changed after coming to china would be a lie.
for example:
1)i now am even more stingy than i was before (i know, it's hard to believe)
2)i now eat left overs
3)i now know how bad my chinese is. (have you tried describing details concerning how a fuel cap is made to a supplier in chinese? i can't even do it in english!)
4)i like to put 'errs' in my chinese now. damn northeners...affecting me.
5)i can speak some shanghainese but not much
6)i don't know how to exercise. what is basketball? does it exist?
haha i dunno. these are lame. but i was listening to the 'new' what's his face is it like kayne west or something? well anyway his cd is good.

also have you seen something's gotta give? i liked it suprisingly. it was not what i expected.

i've been going thru the book of exodus and one thing i enjoyed is that like moses, we each have a place in god's economy that is unique. it belongs to us so no one can take it from us no matter what. it's our portion, and uniquely ours. because tis so, we must take advantage of it and move, work, act accordingly to our portion no matter how big or small.

we went to a restaurant called 'bei fang ren' which means like person from the north and anyways they talk funny and you can eat friend silkworms. keke. yum!

ok..i hope this post was relatively interesting to make up for all the boring ones before. take care ppls.
