Filled my Saturn up today with a record breaking $40.01 worth of gas. I thought it was bad when it hit $30. When will sugar or grass ethanol come to this country? Oh wait, it won't, Corn lobby will become just like the Oil lobby.

Hmm. Now I feel better about my '04 Accord. It takes $35 from so-empty-you-drive-to-the-gas-station-on-fumes. There is no need to mix fuel with air to create combustion, the mixture is already in the gas tank.

However, according to its mileage indicator, it's only getting like 24-26 mpg on the highway, which is way under its advertised 33. Maybe y'all are driving huge 6-8 cylinder behemoths. My Honda is a 4-cylinder, and you can tell, but it's not like the 4-cylinder in my '92 lumina -- with V-TEC and variable valve timings, it really has some get-up-and-go. The problem is KEEPING it up and going. It gets up to 60 in no time, but if you want to get up to 85 or 90, you've got some wait in front of you.

I can't complain about my honda though. For a lease, it's damn cheap, I can treat it like dirt, and it has a kick-ass voice recognized GPS system and 6-CD in-dash CD player with additional MP3 player mounted underneath.

Things that need to happen with cars with addressible LCD displays: Auxilliary inputs (Composite, for all I care, with their size you wouldn't be able to tell). A high-end MP3 player that displayed song title and artist in a chic fashion and had Drempels or some such written into the EEPROM would be pretty sweet. But it might "distract the dirver." The drivers who are distracted by dancing lines and colors deserve to fly off cliffs.
