Black Label was SUPPOSED To Visit Fort Hood Today
But they had to cancel.
It wasn't a total loss. Met some cool pepole out there, like another poster from a BLS site I go to, and some other guy with a SICK Washburn Dime named Josh. I found out that BLS had to cancel the appearance before it started so my friend Jeremy and I just kinda hung out and told the people coming in to see the band that they couldn't make it.
One thing led to another, and pretty soon we're out on the front of the building bullshitting. Some kid walks by, sees all of us wearing some kind of BLS shirt on, and says to his dad "Those guys are COOOOOOL". This is when my posting buddy came up. I had no idea it was him, but I told him what's up, we realize who's who, and wham.. he's at the table too.
And this is where it got.. interesting. I let the new guy take a look at my Bullseye out in my truck. Jeremy and Josh come with us. I opened the case, let dude hold it, and then some woman jumps out of her car and says "Hey, can we have your autograph?" We all kind of looked at her crazy so she rewords the question.
"You're the Black Label Society, right? We came here for you, but they said you weren't gonna be here."
Apparently she saw the Bullseye, and since Josh has long blonde hair, goatee, and a chain wallet, she put 2 and 2 together and came up with 7. When we told her we were not the band, she looked a little mad, but settled for a pic with the guitar and drove off.
As of yet, there is no rescheduled date for them to return, but hey, I'll be gone by then.
