Well then, I now have a teapot by the name of Jodie Foster.
Thankyou all for your kind input.
At the moment I'm unable to leave work, but there is also no work that they want me to do and thus...
.
I've stolen this one from
Jefner.
1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
"I keep an eye peeled to both sides and walk at a slow, even"
2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?:
A small stack of papers
3. What is the last thing you watched on TV?:
Sex in the city.
4. Without looking at the clock, what time do you think it is?:
12.27
5. Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?:
13.45 wow, that was rubbish of me. I'm usually quite good at that.
6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?:
The kid in the flat above jumping around, Golden Retriever by the Super Furry Animals (from songbook), tapping keys, and the sound of myself swallowing.
7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing?: I walked to work this morning, with my headphones on.
8. Before you came to this website, what did you look at?:
Google news.
My "basket" to see any boxes that needed filling had appeared in it.
9. What are you wearing?:
Very old, scuffed work shoes, size 9, they seem to have the remnants of footglove written where my food goes. The laces have been replaced, with the wrong sort, they look silly.
Navy blue socks (with small holes).
Navy blue trousers from Marks and Sparks in Harrogate, 30" waist, 31" leg, empty pockets, zip fly with a button at the top.
Light blue M&S shirt, probably also from Harrogate, 15" collar, ivory-coloured small plastic buttons with four button holes threaded vertically, button cuffs, empty left breast pocket.
Royal Blue, "Michael" tie in a knitted style but actually 100% polyester, bought at Mr Bens in gLasgow for £2.
Maroon, cotton, boxer shorts from Asda's George range, 33" waist.
A silver and white inotime watch with arabic numerals bought in a tabac in France, on a black strap with a silver buckle, bought in a watch shop in Harrogate when the strap the watch came with broke.
Of all the things I'm wearing, the only thing I don't want to change are the boxers.
10. Did you dream last night?:
Not that I recall.
11. When did you last laugh?:
Earlier today on the phone to a colleague.
12. What is on the walls of the room you are in?:
A clock, some yellowy wallpaper, a wireless network connection box, plug sockets, a fire extinguisher... we're not allowed to put things on the walls. There's a board with long lists of useful phon numbersa I've pinned to it to save me time.
13. Seen anything weird lately?:
Not especially
14: What is the word most often used in your vocabulary?:
"fantastic" maybe
15. What is the last film you saw?:
Starwars Episode II

A large house somewhere pretty, possibly somewhere with skiing.
17. Tell me some things about you that I don't know:
No.
18. If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?:
Ensure I had a career as a loved and respected novelist (and a rich one at that). How selfish of me, but it's true.
19. Do you like to dance?:
Yes, though many people would quibble with my definition of the word.
20. George Bush:
Oh, you had to ruin my mood, didn't you.
21. Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?:
Katalin
22. Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?:
Leander
23. Would you ever consider living abroad?:
Oh yes, very much so.
24. Quote

oh, or
"I would be a communist, but I don't believe in violence."
25. What was your first official job?
I taught English in Budapest at Fasori Evangélikus Gimnázium for six months.
Now I'm going to ask if I can go home, again.
