jayen aitch and things which change

ah, so...

I'm single again.

Last night Vicky and I decided 'it' wasn't working. We know what we're talking about too, it wasn't. It was good for a bit and then it melted. I'd tell you why if I could, but I've thought about it a fair bit, and I can't give you a reason. It just did.

Anyway, it's probably the right call, but that doesn't stop me feeling somewhat sad about it.

I still think she's great, and friendship looks like a good bet.

I'd talk about it more, but wouldn't that make for a dull entry?

In other news, after work on Saturday I went to a party in Macclesfield. It was Alisa's brother's 21st, and I didn't really make the decision to go until work itself had finished.

The party was very chilled out and full of lovely people, though many were wearing those odd charity wristband things. For whatever reasons.

I had fantastic journeys to and from the party.

On the way there I ended up sitting around trying to do a music quiz with six other random people, it was a lot of fun, and the biggest feeling of community I've ever had with utter strangers.

Obviously there was a train girl involved. (no one else has those listed as an interest at the time of writing)

I'd not heard what the announcer had said on the tannoy, something along the lines of certain tickets not being valid, so I asked the train girl, who told me I was okay. We got to chatting about her quiz, which sparked other peoples' interest, and we all ended up working on it.

Sometimes I love people.

On the way back I was a tad headachey, I'd managed to get all my stuff together without waking the myriad sleeping people doted around Alisa's place and was very proud of myself (sometimes it's the small things).

It was replacement rail services as far as Sheffield... and the one from Stockport to there went the most beautiful route ever. It was snow dusted resevoirs in a winding valley, which I have to say, goes very well with the delgados and a bottle of coke. Perfect hangover cure.

This week is a three day one, followed by a five day mini-holiday.

I'm seeing Bright Eyes and Rilo Kiley on Thursday night at Leeds Met with Vicky and Ollie... yey.

After that I'm free until Tueday at 8am. I have no idea what I'm up to, but I quite fancy going away and having fun somewhere. So if anyone has any bright ideas, would like me to visit them, or meet them somewhere, drop me a line.

'kay, sleepy now.
