Well, rain is still not letting up and more than half of my city is buried in flood water. And there’s not even a storm. This is just your regular monsoon weather, folks! :|
No this is not fiction. [Wish it was, though.]
I don’t exactly know how to react. I’m actually luckier than most, since our house only got flooded and we still have water and electricity and stuff. Still can’t get outside the house though, and I’m itching to just do something helpful and worthwhile.
I’ve been complaining over how dirty the city has become over the last few years (you won’t believe the amount of crap Manila chokes up every single day. You can’t even walk a block without encountering discarded candy wrappers here and there.) and here we are. The result of all that is …this. Clogged up waterways make a sea out of the city. What happened to you, Manila?
And I find news saying that this crazy amount of rainfall (and flooding) is going to be the new norm. :|
