So the following is not good practice for bike riders:

Falling off your bike when coming down a hill.

Doing so at 5:25am is not practical because there is no one to help in case you are seriously injured. Thankfully I was not.

The damage: The seat cover of my bike is slightly ripped but not unusable at all. Clothes ok. Helmet ok. Left side of body... Pretty banged up. I did get up continue on my bike ride to crew and rowed the whole practice. Yes, I was a bit bloody... But I didn't touch anyone/thing really with my elbow or leg. The best part was, I had to make an oral presentation that afternoon and there I was, patched up with huge bandages in a pretty skirt and sleevless shirt. Did I have another outfit, not really - it was over 90 degrees.  I took extra precautions for the entire day so that it would not completely go to crap. Thankfully, it didn't.
