Most of my posts are friends only, but I am simply giddy with excitement.
Giddy, I say!
If you haven't seen the red-band trailer for The Happening, you need to. You need to go to YouTube and check it out right now. Just type in red-band happening, and a bunch will pop up. I just did, and I jizzed myself.
My mother and I were already talking about it and made plans to see it the day it comes out, during the day, before all the yappy adolescents come out. If my girlfriend doesn't want to go then be damned! I want to see it.
I am so super-psyched about it, that I will be uber disappointed if it turns out to be a crapfest. If it sucks then M. Night Shyamalan will be black-listed and never spoken of in my presence again. Just like Michael Chrichton after I read The Lost World. Fucking sellout.
There are two things that I'm concerned about.
- It will be a monumental crap fest with no story and no intensity.
- It will be a worthless excuse for gratuitous violence and suffering. I hate that.
That is why I have only ever watched one episode of Criminal Minds. That one episode I watched was just an excuse for them to showcase not only violence, which I can handle. I fucking kill people for a living for the love of Pete, but it was unnecessarily gratuitous and... obscene. I'm sorry, but I don't like to watch intense human suffering and trauma for entertainment. But that's just me.
But I cannot WAIT for the damn movie to come out. And it is very, very infrequent that I go to a movie theater, and when I do it is something I have waited to see for forever. Like Resident Evil: Extinction. Oh my goodness, so worth the wait. Other than that... I could care less.
I'm the person who just found out that Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana were the same person less than a week ago, okay? I'm not very... aware, if you get my drift.
Enough rambling.
