Just me, still alive
I haven't actually posted in so long it almost seems pointless to try to 'catch up.'
Life... is going very well. Had some extreme highs and lows, but I suppose that's just the way it goes. My boyfriend has been in Shanghai for the last two weeks, so I'm having extreme me and kid time. Thinking of taking up dancing again. Taught kidlet how to waltz and foxtrot the other day. I miss the tango.
I'm such a hopeless lipstick addict. I don't think I even really so much like to wear it as there's just something about the smell of it. Brings back memories of the old 1920's metal lipstick/powder case my grandmother gave me when I was very little and riding in her car to visit her lady friends.
I went walking this weekend with my daughter in a park near here. We circled the lake pointing out the turtles sunning on the bits of tree sticking above the water, watching the boys on the dock fishing for bluegill, and trying to decide if that large head sticking above the water was a water snake or some sort of muskrat. I'd prefer to think muskrat, but the way the water was swishing behind it seemed much more serpentine. If it was a snake, it had to be huge, the head was the size of my hand (if you make a pretend snake head out of it, like playing with shadows). One of my co-workers assures me there are rather large water snakes around and seems to feel it was more likely a snake.
