Echo sentiments

I agree with ladyrois It's Monday, already!?!

Woke up this morning, 1) Wanted more sleep and 2)Wanted another day to not be at work.

Friday was just flat bizarre, we didn't have to go to Fry's on the way home, but I decided to go with him anyway when he did go - having only one car and many places to go isn't always the easiest to reconcile. After we finished going to the bank, Fry's, Best Buy and not making it to JoAnn's before they closed for the night we went home and watched a movie until too late.

Got up sorta early, walked the dogs, showered and got off to coffee. Very nice time, of course I got all fired up about all sorts of stuff. We finally extracted ourselves from too much talking at about 2ish. About two hours after I figured we'd be done ... it was all good, just I should have known better ;-p We went off to JoAnn's on the way home, was disapointed by the selection in fabrics but did find the buttons we needed. Grabbed some lunch, melted into food coma on drive home so decided to take a break from all the madness on the couch. Ended up there for an hour or so, the boy even took a nap. As the sun was setting we got motivated to clean up the pups and apply their citrus scented flea and tick oil down their backs. This, of course, took longer than we thought too. Finally about 8pm we were off to Turrel's for sewing. I had *thought* I'd be there about 1, *snerk*!! He toted along the computer and worked on that while I was fussing and futzing with the coat. It was being a pain, he was sweet and wonderful at about 10pm he drove home and picked up the extra fabric as new gores had to be cut - we were there until 2:30am :(

Seriously overslept on Sunday morning, thank goodness for the step-sister who doesn't have Mom's cell phone #. She woke us up and we flew through getting ready and down the to fair. We managed to make it more or less on time - it was some sort of Sunday magic. Got to see Mom's entries - 3 1sts and a 2nd, her 2 lace entries got special lace awards and bobbins! Mom is really fun to watch when shes happy and excited. Wandered through the commercial building, food area, made it to the Clydesdales and poultry barn and had food along the way too. It was a good day, my legs and feet were screaming by the end though. After we made it home, threw in a load of laundry, mixed up food for the pups, cleaned up the eggs the step brought us from her hens and went off for more sewing. More futzing, realized I made the lining the same as the coat, which meant that when we faced rights together the front didn't match up ... *sigh* more piecing :-( All stuff that, my senior sewing peers would not mess up I'm sure and I'll slow my thought process next time and remember that when you have a front that isn't symmetrical the lining will need to be put together backwards. Thank goodness Turrel fed me, otherwise I wouldn't have eaten - I wasn't hungry at all. Picked up food for the boy on the way home at 11:30p and finally got to crash out at 1am-ish :(

The alarm went off too early this morning and I really wanted to just have another weekend day. Have to focus on the newsletter today. Tomorrow night, finishing off the coat (praying, praying, praying it fits ...) so far it looks wonderful!! I'm very excited and it doesn't have the trim yet. Need to finish off the hat this week - thanks to Raven and Turrel for the clipping comment - doh! how could I manage to forget that!!! And documentation. Need to finalize details for the hotel too, as much as it would be good politically to camp, I just don't have it in me to get all that together. I'm impressing myself left and right that I'm this close to being ready with my entries, considering my total lack of desire to play for the last year. I have found that there is a siren call to the fabric and fiber and she is a wicked WICKED mistress!
