My body feels like winter...

I have been trying to find the best way in which to describe how my body has been feeling today and it took me until right now to figure it out. Dry. I thought for a while that this was the start of a cold for me, as this is how it usually starts with the dry throat/nose/ragged breathing. I was so tired last night so I assumed that it was part of the whole 'me getting sick' thing, but as it turns out, I'm not getting sick and I figured out that the symptoms were caused from the new medication that I've been taking. Apparently, since I got some blood work this week, my doctor has decided that I have an underactive Thyroid and therefore have to take medication to get it moving again. It wasn't really something that I would have ever guessed that I have... I mean, I can look at some of the symptoms that are apparently connected with this, but I thought all of these things were normal? At least, for myself. Either that or I can chalk it up to my living habits... I'm not sure. I don't think it's that bad, but I'm curious to see if there is any sort of major change once the pills have been into my system for a little bit. Right now I'm on day 3 and all I'm getting is a very dry throat, nose and mouth. Either that.. or I really am starting to get a cold and I'm confusing the two things.

Last night I went down to my work with my dad and my great aunt and her husband and we went down to sit on the beach and watch the fireworks that were on the water in Oshawa. It turned out to be not that bad of a show! Getting to the part of the beach in Oshawa where they actually do them is a pain in the ass... They close down the entire street for the day, so then you have to go to the mall and park. From there, you catch a shuttle bus to the beach area and stay there until after ten at night, which is when they start their 20 minute fireworks display. After that, you then have to wait about an hour in the insane mass of people to get onto a shuttle bus, to get back to the mall and then get home. I got in for free at my work, drove down to the beach, which was decently empty and I got a pretty good show there! It was really cold, but nice. I wouldn't call it absolutely incredible and breath taking, but still fun.

The best thing I heard yesterday?

"What do you get a country for its 143rd birthday when it already has everything? Oh. I know. The HST! A big 'fuck you' from Daulton McGuinty!"
