What A Busy Week So Far....

I might have to break this down into two or three separate posts cuz a lot has happened this week. Tuesday Marvin, Tonnie and I went to this theater audition in New Haven at the Library. It was for a bunch of different theater companies looking for people in the community for a few shows they are working on this summer/fall. Marvin's audition was at 6, mine was at 6:30 and Tonnie's was at 7:15 I think. That day I got a shapeup, looked over my two monologues, tried to make copies of my headshot and resume. But CVS' printer was broken, so they couldn't print them, and when I went to go pick them up, they were like "Oh Sorry, we couldn't print it, someone should've called you". I was so pissed. So I had to run over to Walgreens and ask them if they could print two photos in under an hour and they said yes. So that all worked out.

We left for New Haven at like 5:20 and of course I got lost cuz I missed the exit and we got Marvin to the library at 6:00 on the dot. I felt so bad because you are supposed to get to your auditions early to be considered on time. But the people were really nice and didn't care. I did my Phaeton monologue from Metamorphoses and it went great. They were laughing and seem to really enjoy it. And they really LOVED Tondrea though. They gave her two pieces to cold read on the spot. Which was great for her. She needs to get back into acting and what not. So after that, we were all excited because the auditions went so well, we went to Unos. I had never eaten there and now I see why. There was like nothing semi healthy besides the salads. And I am not a person who likes to spend 14 bucks on a fucking salad. lol. I got a chicken burger thing that sucked, but the mashed potatoes I got were so damn good! But they didn't give enough, of course.

Then Tondrea decided to go home early since we had to wake up early the next day for The View! So Marvin and I watched Buffy The Vampire Slayer (The original movie, not the classic tv show). It was okay, not as good as I thought it was when I was little. or maybe I'm just jaded since the TV Show is actually amazing and there will never be a better Buffy than Sarah Michelle.

That was a lot of fun though!

In other news, I still didn't hear back from that internship in Albany. The lady sounded so excited and she said she wanted to set up a phone interview for yesterday but she never emailed me and then I called her yesterday and she never returned my phone call. That was very disheartening.

unos, auditions, buffy the vampire slayer movie
