I met Dr. Beausoleil today, the gastric bypass surgeon. He's a very nice man. He wanted to assure me that my weight problem is not my fault, it's a disease and it can be treated. He's putting me into a six month monitored diet program before I can be approved by medicare for the surgery. I hope I don't fail, but that's my low self esteem talking as usual.

I'm not sure whether to feel excited that I'm starting this or scared that I'm going to fail. Things are always so much easier with a yes or no answer. I'm curious what the diet will entail. Waiting sucks.
