So this week has been exciting. I started school, again. On Monday, the first day of school, I got a call offering me a new job, so I had to go and cancel my afternoon classes since I will be working then. On Wednesday, on my way to school (in rush hour traffic) my car died. So if you were driving down Olive, just west of the 101 and saw a white car in the middle lane with it's hood up, yep, that was me. I was there for two hours before a tow truck got there. And just let me say, no less than 4 cops passed me. But did any of them stop to see if I was ok or needed help? Nope, not one. I thought their motto was serve and protect. Well, where was my service? Anyway, so I got the car towed to a dealership to trade it in. The reasons I didn't bother fixing it is: There's already 84,000 miles on it, there is an oil leak that's getting pretty bad, the drivers side door doesn't open from the inside and the check engine light has been on for the last couple of months. This car was almost dead anyways. I was planning on trading it in soon already, but was going to wait for another month, so I thought. So at the dealership, I couldn't qualify for any financing because I haven't started my new job yet. So I had to buy the car outright, taking all my saving and every penny that I have. So if anything happens to me or my family in the next few months that requires money, we're sunk. I now have a Hyundai Accent (it's a small car with a very small engine :( ).
So because of the stupid car I missed both classes on Wednesday and one of them was my Chemistry lab. For those of you not familiar with lab classes, if you don't go the first day, you are dropped from the class. So Thursday I had to go to the Chemistry department to try and get a hold of my instructor, who of course wasn't there that day. I had to get his email from the secretary there, because of course I had no information on how to get a hold of him. So I emailed him my situation and thankfully no one else showed up to try to add the class so there was still an opening and he said I could still have it. So at least I got to keep my class.
I just got out of the make-up Chemistry lab and am waiting for my Biology class as I write this. That's all for now.
p.s. This is in response to someone else's journal that I saw. If you don't know the difference between stocker and stalker, you should never be allowed to post to anyone else's journal, ever.
