Hare Krsna!
what kind of grow lamp are you using for tulasi devi? just a regular shop light? or a specific grow lamp? i looked at home depot but can't find anything good, and everything online seems really expensive.

a regular shop light...you have to do the wiring yourself...though or maybe convince you husband to ;) I have 3, 24" lights for my Tulasi, overkill? maybe but hey we're in New England and she's from India so?

what you need:(for 1 grow light) 1 replacement power cord (like for powertools)making sure its big enough to handle the light you choose

1 pkg of appropriate size wire nuts, size can be found on back of power chord

electical tape (optional)a screwdriver to poke out metal holes, when/if you buy the fixture you'll know what I'm talking about.

1 grow bulb..specifically called Plant/aquarium bulbs (they come in a green pkg and give off weird purplish light.

my guess is you're looking at about $50 per light. I think its actually cheaper to buy a 4 ft fixture instead of a 2ft one.

If you have any other ?'s feel free to send them my way. Although I don't know how helpful I'll be.

Have a safe trip...you're leaving soon, right?

Hare Krishna!

Hare Krsna,

I'm glad you found it helpful and signed up for the e-course. I think you will find the course very helpful in your journey as well as having access to Srila Gurudeva, Sankarshan das Adhikari to inquire from in case any questions come up.

Do you have a copy of the Bhagavad-Gita as it is? http://vedabase.net/bg/en

If not or if so...I highly recommend it. Srila Prabhupada's purports unlock the wisdom which Krishna gave to Arjuna in such a clear, refreshing way.

So I will add you to my friends list as well. Hare Krsna!

That's great. It's amazing to think that the introduction to BG was originally spoken by Srila Prabhupada in an empty room in NYC in the 60s...he advertised for a program and no one showed so he just spoke it to a recorder. Pretty intense for a spontaneous speech, eh?
