"Passion has little to do with euphoria and everything to do with patience. It is not about feeling good. It is about endurance. Like patience, passion comes from the same Latin root: pati. It does not mean to flow with exuberance. It means to suffer." -Daphne Kaplan's The Courage to Withstand p. iii

"Le coeur a ses raisons, que la raison ne connaît point." Blaise Pascal, Pensées

"Dicamus et labyrinthos, vel portentosissimum humani inpendii opus, sed non, ut existimari potest, falsum. " Pliny, Natural History 36.19.84

"Let us space." Jacques Derrida, Glas

Words are adventures in themselves. Quotes quite the same. Search for the meanings yourselves, enjoy the experience. There is rarely something so fulfilling as an adventure that leads to understanding, and given the materials at your disposal (and nothing else), you should get about halfway there.
