a follow up from last wednesday

since no one got any of these right, here are the songs from the post from last week.
in bold are the ones i am surprised no one got, in italics the ones i would have been surprised if anyone got or bothered guessing

1. the beatles - maxwell's silver hammer (slightly more obscure, but wonderful black humor)
2. bela fleck and the flecktones - ufo tofu
3. the brilliant green - tsumetai hana
4. danny quinn - the jolly tinker (a rather amusing traditional irish song) (danny quinn is a guy i have seen perform in cape cod a few times, he is an amazing entertainer.
5. the decemberists - the legionnaire's lament
6. fra-foa - light of sorrow
7. G0!G0!7188 - tokage sango
8. GOING UNDER GROUND - short vacation
9. igor stravinsky - two acceptable answers - last movement from l'oiseau de feu (the firebird), as a whole i love le sacre du printemps (rite of spring)
10. james taylor - fire and rain
11. john coltrane - naima (slow piece he wrote for his wife of that name, which i arranged for percussion ensemble and flute)
12. judy and mary - kyoto
13. l'arc en ciel (i really only like one or two of their songs) - drivers high (which i got addicted to through GTO)
14. nickel creek - the lighthouse's tale
15. michael torke - December (or adjustable wrench, i like both)
16. miles davis - four
17. the pillows - hybrid rainbow (probably their most known song, as it got quite popular through FLCL, which cartoon network used to show incessantly)
18. steve reich - music for 18 musicians (i played in the first performance of this by a group other than steve reich's ensemble)
19. wayne shorter - footprints
20. weather report - birdland
21. wilco - i am trying to break your heart
