A birthday card

That I made for phoenixlyn!

Done on watercolour paper (It's quite thick with a bumpy kind of texture) with watercolour and pencil. Took me about 6 hours-ish on the colouring, several days on conceiving the idea (though it's pretty generic... XD).

The curtain was painted on a separate piece of paper and glued to the base card. There's actually a hole in the white space.

This is my first attempt at an original watercolour piece, since any previous ones I've done were copied from other pictures. So you can see that even though I put in shadows (that aren't very nice in the first place =_=''), there isn't much interesting colour combinations (as in, you know how in paintings, there are many different colours in a single teacup or something? Like pink, grey, blue, etc to create a realistic and 3D portrayal of a cup).
So yeah, that's it. Nothing very interesting going on in my life.
