I've decided that by the end of this year I want to be out to my family.
Except whenever I'm nervous, excited, anxious, or on the verge of a nervous breakdown, I stutter. I freeze entirely and tend to ramble about things that aren't related in any form or fashion to my main point or topic of conversation.
So.
I'm going to show my family.
I want to make a collage. I know what it's going to look like, or at least close to what I want it to look like.
However.
I don't want the collage to just be about me. I want it to be more about "Pride" and I want it to be something that allows my family to see that I'm serious about who I am and that I'm not ashamed of who I am. I want it to be able to show them that I'm a part of something beautiful. A beautiful group of people.
Therefore.
I'm requesting that #GLBT people, no matter the age, race, preferrence, or sex, send me one something that shows their proud of who they are.
What I want:
- Words
- Coming out stories
- single words relating to how you feel about being a part of the #GLBT community
- poems
- short sentences about how you define yourself.
- Pictures
- Your face
- You and your partner's/spouse/significant other/girlfriend/boyfriend/bestfriend
- Family pictures
- Symbols/art pieces that make you feel proud to be #GLBT
- "Pride" events
They don't have to be in color and they don't have to be perfect.
There isn't a limit to how much you can send either. All that I ask is if you're going to send me multiple items, place them in a zip folder so I can keep them all organized.
Thank you so much. This is really important to me. So please, send anything that you can. Spread the message to all of your friends. I want this to be a massive project. I'll even post pictures to show the progress. I do request finally that all pictures be G Rated. That means no wee-wees, hoo-hahs, or ...boobies. Deal? Deal
