based on a few things that have happened in the past day or so... i have come to the decision that live journal is becoming rather pointless for the purpose i got it. i got this to write down things for other ppl to comment on, and to express my views (but appropriate ones ( Read more... )

"....views that have been expressed lately (everything from stalking to over-opionated ppl who can't back up wut theyr'e saying)" If the over-opinionated people who cant back up what their saying is intended to me, why should i have to back up my own statement that isnt intended for the purpose that i want other people to comment on? Do you debate yourself? Do you back up your own opinions to yourself? What i wrote in my LJ, i wasnt making a point, i was writing my feelings. And i couldnt be charged unless i threatened to kill you, or harm you in any way. I used to write down on paper, and then my mom would be nosy and look through it. I'm not doing that again. I dont think its the schools right to be able to judge my opinions. Even if they bashed me/suspended me or anything for that matter, it would not stop me from having the same feelings towards people. Like i said before, that post was to vent. I had to make that clear. sorry if i sounded liek a bitch :)

I disagree and agree. I'm sure some people use their lj as an opportunity to put down people behind there backs. On the other hand, the whole point of the lj community is to express your opinions and ideas that you may not be able to face to face (as much as that can sometimes hurt) for some people using me as an example sometimes the only express the way to others through writing something to them. Sometimes its a good way to release some of things inside of you that you would not have been able to but into words if you were in person. I think lj journal is meant to provoke people in a way. Its to make you think. If every one on live journal were talking about how much fun they were having all the time on live journal how much fun would that be to read? Even when I'm talking about someone in a negative I try not to name them and I don't say profane things about them. I think lj journal is a great way to connect with other people on an intellectual level. There are so many good communities that you can use to do that. About getting ( ... )

I agree with everything there 100%. Especially the friends things. I made that post friends only. Meaning their on my friends list because i obviously dont intend for them to print my opinion, MY journal for an adult to see. And what the hell would the principal have to do with this? Its like taking pages out of someones diary and reading it to the world.
Anyways, Laura i couldnt have said it better myself.

dispite how offensive any material published on the internet is, its a right garenteed to us, if any one is offended or upset they can simply discontinue reading matter that they think is inappropriate and the assembly was only about not writting things on the net during school hours.

a) who the fuck would report this to the principal
b) thats why we have friends only
c) lj is a JOURNAL. for you to WRITE it. everyones thoughts are not "oooh, look at what a lovely day today was!"
