Boy amd I whupped. I mean, really. Whoo. Geez.
I got up at 6AM this morning, so as not to be late to class again, and anyone who knows me knows that I despise waking before the sun. But, I made it to class plenty early so it was worth hauling myself out of my nice comfortable bed. Class was no trouble at all today.
Then I met Ashwee at UNF and the great work out began. We stretched, jogged/walked (though mostly jogged) a mile and a half then stretched again and did a cool down walk. I only had a problem when Ash said "okay, once we get to the butterfly garden, we're going to flat out run to the picnic tables." Now, the distance wasn't that much, but I have to admit that I am not in any kind of shape (is round a shape?) and me contemplating running (not jogging) at the end was very, very daunting. I did not make it running the whole way, I had to drop down to a jog while eating my Tween's dust as she pelted down the path. But I know it's not a race and I wasn't trying to keep pace with her. The important thing was that I didn't stop. I had to slow down, but I did make it still jogging. Then I tried to drink some water and nearly choked. It is hard to drink while panting. Heh. I am very proud that I made it. The stretching was good and I felt it in all the places you were supposed to. The actual work out was a mix of fun/challenging and not-so-fun/challenging. We gave up on one because we couldn't figure out how to do it. There is one excersize that we're calling "The Ho" were it looks like your trying to hump a ball while lying on your back. That one is hard. And it hurts. But it is also supposed to make your abs strong, so I'll deal with it. The back excersizes are a little hard, but I like them. We were "feelin' the burn" so to speak.
We worked at it for 2 and a half hours, including the run. It was a good time. It is so much easier to work out with another person. Then we had lunch at the St. Johns Town Center, which I love love LOVE, and walked around the different stores. I spent too much money on CDs at Barnes and Noble. We're planning on doing this every Thurday and on Tuesdays we're going to do everything but the arms and and skip the lunch and the shopping. Tomorrow we're going to work the thighs and ba-donka donk (that's butt for you ghetto challenged) and do cardio. By summer we want to be toned enough to go to the beach and lay out with confidence. Hell, even if we don't do that we'll be healthier! I need that...
But I will be sleeping early tonight! And I'm sure tomorrow is going to suck. Saturday is going to such even worse. Oh I feel the pain now. But it will be soooo worth it to be toned and tan on the beach!
Later folks!
