Say goodbye to 2005!

Dec 31, 2005 17:40

And what a year is has been. Looking back to a year ago I see so many things have changed. People I loved left me, and people I came to love found me. Last year I had a crappy, going nowhere job and now I have a job I love, with great people. It amazes me. To everyone out there who got me through this year: I love you.

Despite shredding my hands (it really wasn't so bad, they just bled a lot...) I will be able to start the new year out with a clean slate. At least as far as my room is concerned. For it, ladies and gentlemen, is clean. Somewhere fireworks are going off while the angels are weeping. By God the carpet even got shampooed!

The week between tomorrow and when classes resume is going to be dedicated to getting rid of stuff I no longer need. Mostly clothes, but I'm sure I can hunt down quite a bit else that can be eliminated. I hate clutter... I'd just learned to live with it. No more! It will be oh-so lovely to wake up to a clean room. Well, the chances of me waking up in my own bed tomorrow morning are slim to none, but it will be nice to be able to collapse into my freshly made bed upon my arrival tomorrow.

It is time to detox. Time to purge myself of all those bad things that weigh me down. Physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Yeah, yeah, big words, but New Years is a time for big ambition.

But now, now is a time for fajitas.

Heh!

Happy New Year everyone!
