Phantom Planet, whose hit single from last year, "California," is the theme song for the TV show "The O.C.," are re-releasing the album that spawned the song, The Guest, with new artwork on November 4. The band no longer includes "Rushmore" star Jason Schwartzman, and will take new drummer Jeff Conrad along on a nationwide tour starting October 22 in Los Angeles. The band also announced that the video for "Big Brat," the first single from its upcoming, as-yet-untitled album, due out in early 2004, will be directed by Spike Jonze. ...
