so i had my first sign language talk last night, and it went pretty well. jen and i changed it up a bit while on stage, skipped a couple lines, but it all worked, made perfect sense, and thankfully we were completely on the same wave length so it all worked out just fine.
and we made everyone laugh super loud...twice. (and no, it wasn't because we messed up, we wrote in jokes, and they got them...yay!)
after the meeting everyone complimented me, saying how clear the talk was, how good it was signed, how funny it was, but the nicest compliment came from my PO, he told me it was written in the manner of someone who knows how to teach, and that all the pioneers in the hall could really benefit from copying the example i set.
it made me feel good, and i relayed the compliment to fawn, cause she and i brainstormed the talk together, and i couldnt have written it without her.
i also need to relay compliments to jen because she helped me make it a little more accurate asl.
my mom was there, sarah pohl, the masseys, tymias, ryo and three girls we call on/study with, mary, jocelyn, and monique.
after we went to eat, a ton of us, and it was a blast.
feels good to get that out of the way, and now i'm ready for more.
