Sometimes I wish I didn't apply at Home Depot. The stress is unbelievable for a sales position, and customers expect you to go beyond your requirements as an associate. The horrible thing is lots of customers come back, and if you had a bad experience with them at one point, then they seem to purposely seek you out to make you repeat the episode again. Not what I had in mind when helping to design bathrooms and kitchens, but what can you do? School is hopefully the solution to the chaotic jobs I seem to have been picking up in Kamloops. :P
On the other hand, my classes are going great. I love my Japanese teacher and I look forward to every class, despite the little struggle I seem to have with a few of the vowels. I think it just helps that she makes jokes and tries to make Japanese enjoyable, not just some course that you have choose to be in there to get your 3 credits. The only compliant I have to make is about my psychology class, since my teacher likes to lecture with charts which I feel is very technical and he is avoiding the juicy topics of psychology. Oh well. Sociology invovles a crazy ex softball player who has been an accountant and decided to change to become a sociologist since she wanted more excitement. Lets just say she enjoys scaring the first years. Very enjoyable ;).
I know this is probably the most random post I have done in a month but I felt like I needed to flag my journal so the few who read it know I still do existence and didn't get lost on Pender Island during my holidays. (Although I would have quite enjoyed that experience to be stranded there ;)).
Well I am off to make sure my boy is still job hunting, then I have to get on my books since I have two quizzes on Wednesday, a major outline I have to produce for psychology by October 2nd and then catch up on all my chapters so I'm not ripping out my hair in a few weeks when midterms hit.
